OLG Brings Soccer Fans Together with Record-Breaking Human Foosball Match

Hundreds of players stepped onto a life-sized foosball field at Humber Polytechnic as OLG celebrated its support for grassroots soccer and its role as an Official Toronto World Cup 2026 Host City Supporter.

Soccer fans took the beautiful game to a whole new scale at Humber Polytechnic as 254 players came together for a massive life-sized human foosball match hosted by Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

Complete with cheering crowds, a live brass band and plenty of competitive energy, the custom-built 150-by-68-foot arena transformed Humber’s campus into one giant foosball table as players faced off in a fast-paced showdown that ended with a final score of 12–9.

The event celebrated more than just a memorable match day—it highlighted OLG’s growing support for soccer communities across Ontario and its role as an Official Toronto World Cup 2026 Host City Supporter.

The event brought together students, soccer fans and community partners for a playful take on one of the world’s most beloved games, all while supporting the long-term growth of soccer across the province.

Through partnerships with Ontario Soccer and the City of Toronto’s Soccer for All Legacy Program, OLG is helping expand access to the sport by supporting the training of more than 5,000 new coaches and 6,000 new match officials over the next two years.

The investment aims to strengthen grassroots soccer by supporting the people who help make the game possible—from coaches and mentors to referees and community leaders.

As an Official Toronto World Cup 2026 Host City Supporter, OLG will also help bring fan experiences to life during FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto, taking place at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

As Toronto gets ready to welcome the world for FIFA World Cup 2026, OLG’s larger-than-life foosball showdown proved the city’s soccer energy is already at full volume.
